[How to use technology to enhance Assessment for Learning]
Assessment for Learning is an unavoidable trend of assessment. In traditional way of assessment (paper assessment), teachers need to put many effort on summing up marks, creating statistics and analysis of marked scripts, extracting out brilliant and/or special answers for students’ reference and discussion etc. Many of the effort has been put on tedious and admin works which in fact can be solved by a good marking program.
With new technologies like touch-screen tablets and cloud computing, onscreen marking no longer be only available by HKEAA. Teachers can also enjoy the benefit of onscreen marking. In order to let teachers to experience such technologies, AiTLE is in co-operation with MyID, launching a workshop called “How to use technology to enhance Assessment for Learning“.

In additional, detail of the project “Bridging ICT to Professional Certification Project” become finalized. The project including a series of free training provided by Cisco, Microsoft & Oracle for teachers and also certification vouchers to teachers and students. [Free WiFi to Classroom Trial Project Announcement]
In the eLearning era, WiFi to classroom is a must. School of course expecting there are funding from EDB in providing WiFi to Classroom. However, simply funding does not help. Also most school’s network infrastructure need to be enhanced if WiFi to classroom needed to be adopted to their existing network, and this will used-up some of the funding (if has) and reduce the real funding to WiFi Services. AiTLE is in coordination with HKEDCITY and different vendors to do a Trial project called “WiFi as a Service to School / Classroom“. The project involved a 1.5 years (including setup) support to provide WiFi to 5 classrooms freely, for school to start to do trial on their eLearning idea, and also to trial on this mode of WiFi provision. Detail will be announced and discussed in the same event.
[Educational Software/Apps Testbed Project Announcement]
Besides the WiFi to Classroom, suitable educational softwares / Apps are very important in Learning & Teaching, with the support of different educational softwares / apps vendor, a project called “Educational Software / Apps Testbed” is launched. Basic idea is educational softwares / apps will be freely provided to participating teachers for teaching purpose, and related teachers has obligation to share the usage and feedback suitability. Detail will be announced and discussed in the same event.
