Re our recent recommendation on the launch of “IT Champions”, which would be broadcast on RTHK’s new digital TV channel — “RTHK TV 31” starting from 13 January 2014.
“RTHK TV 31” will be officially launched on 13 January 2014, the same day as the debut of “IT Champions”. As “RTHK TV 31” is a new digital TV channel, you may wish to check out RTHK’s website (http://rthk.hk/about/dtt/intro_e.htm) for instructions on how to tune to the channel. In general, TV households within the signal coverage area of the transmission stations should be able to receive RTHK’s digital TV broadcasting signals with the use of set-top boxes or integrated digital TV.
However, if your building has not yet updated the aerial reception, you would not be able to receive the digital TV signals. You may wish to request your housing management to update the reception expeditiously. For convenience, a sample letter prepared by RTHK for you to send it to your housing management for this purpose can be downloaded by clicking here.
As it may take time for your housing management to react, you may wish to watch the live cast and archive of “IT Champions” through the following ways –
(a) RTHK website (http://rthk.hk);
(b) A dedicated website for “IT Champions” (http://it.eTVonline.tv); and
(c) “RTHK Screen”, a mobile app for RTHK TV 31 and 32 programmes. It could be downloaded via the following links –
