The ‘Cisco Event ~ Women Rock IT’ is a event for girls + women designed to both inspire young women to consider careers in IT as well as support and motivate female students already on that journey. It features prominent women from a wide range of backgrounds.

Capacity : 20-30 F.4-6 students (preferably girls interested in entering IT industry after their graduation)
Application : In School capacity
Language : English and Cantonese, depends on speakers
Speakers of the event will reply the following questions :
- Tell us a little bit about your career to date, how did you get into IT, how did you get to where you are now?
- What do you love most about your job?
- What do you think are the best things about working in IT?
- What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
- What top tips or advice would you tell young people about choosing a career in IT?
- What do you know about people’s perception of IT and why do you think that’s the case?
- Do you see IT as a profession that can change people’s lives and make a difference in the community? Why or How?
- What would you say to a school aged girl who is considering a career in IT?
- What would you say to support and motivate students studying with NetAcad to continue their IT studies and pursue a career in IT?
- How do you think working in IT makes it easier to be a working mother? Does working in IT make it easier to achieve a work life balance? (This question only asked if speaker has children)
