Lenovo (Hong Kong) Limited (Lenovo) aims to enable Primary & Secondary school students in Hong Kong to enjoy better education by creating new learning possibilities through various education programs. Capitalizing on the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Fourth Strategy on IT in Education, Lenovo is joining hands with Association of I.T. Leaders in Education (AiTLE) to launch a new education initiative in May 2015 – “Learning with Lenovo (LwL)” (“Project”), which enables teachers to bridge the digital gap by building better e-learning environments with the latest technologies.
By participating in the one-school-year Project, teachers and students will have a chance to setup classrooms with Lenovo Tablet devices and solutions to take learning to a new digital height. With electronic devices and solutions provided at no cost, schools can keep pace with state-of-the-art technologies, offer a brand-new e-learning experience to digital natives and connect them to infinite learning possibilities.

The project application is open to Primary & Secondary schools in Hong Kong. Please fill in the application form by 5:00pm, 29 May, 2015. An assessment panel composed professionals from Lenovo, AiTLE & HKEDCITY will scrutinize all applications and select 8 to 12 schools to participate in the Project.
Below is the detail of the project:
- About the project
- The project will make available in total about 320 pcs Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2
- about 160 pcs with Android 4.4 &
- about 160 pcs with Microsoft Windows 8.1
- Awarded school will at most have 40 Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2
- 10″ Tablet, with specification as below, and exact amount depends on needs specified in application
- with product training and service support to every participating school for 2015/16 school year
- The Project aims to support a total of 8 to 12 primary & secondary schools in need of e-learning solutions
- The project will make available in total about 320 pcs Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2
- Objectives of the project
- Support the HKSAR Government’s education policy in e-learning development to prepare students for the information era and transform schools into dynamic learning institutions
- Fill the gap between the necessary use of technology during classes and the lack of resources in schools
- Develop I.T. capabilities and promote e-learning among principals and teachers
- Build an e-learning community in Hong Kong via various platforms such as experience sharing, training, forums and so on
- Selection Criteria
- Project proposal (Chinese or English)
- Readiness for e-Learning
- eLearning Plan for using the LwL tablets
- Sharing Fun or other suggestion
- Participating schools (and the teachers responsible) are expected to complete the following activities which we call “Sharing Fun or other suggestion” in the 2015/16 school year. They are designed for teachers to share their experience so as to build a better e-learning community
- Attend the Opening Celebration Ceremony of the event at 2015-06-17 PM from 1430-1730
- Attend at least five out of six monthly teachers’ sharing sessions
- Conduct a 15-minute presentation on e-learning insights at one of the monthly teachers’ sharing sessions
- Submit monthly simple sharing on e-learning tips
- Submit monthly photos of usage and implementation progress of the Lenovo e-learning sets in class
- The e-learning sets will be owned by the schools at the end of the project if they can fulfill all the “Sharing Fun or other suggestion” activities.

- 2015-05-18 to 2015-05-29 : Application period (online form)
- 2015-05-30 to 2015-05-31 : AiTLE send out confirmation letter (with data completed online) to school applying the project
- 2015-06-01 to 2015-06-05 : Schools sign back the confirmation to AiTLE
- 2015-06-06 to 2015-06-08 : Processing of submitted application & Judging
- 2015-06-09 : Notification of selection result to schools by AiTLE
- 2015-06-09 to 2015-06-15 : Selected schools sign back Project Agreement to AiTLE
- 2015-06-17 (WED) from 1430-1730 : [Learning with Lenovo] – First Meeting & Press Conference
- Terms & Conditions
- A judging panel formed by AiTLE and its partners of this program will decide in their sole and absolute discretion to select the shortlisted schools. The decision is final and not subject to any appeal.
- AiTLE & Lenovo reserve the right to change the timing of program, estimated dates of product delivery, product installation and training without prior notice to teachers and schools.
- All data transfer and reception time shall be according to AiTLE’s or agency’s server, and subject to AiTLE’s final decision. AiTLE is not responsible for any data that is transmitted late, lost, or any information that is received but incomplete or illegible.
- You declare and warrant that all data and information you provide is complete and accurate and are obliged to provide relevant documents for verification upon request. If the details you provide are incomplete, inaccurate (including but not limited to the use of a false e-mail address), inappropriate or illegible, or you impersonate another person or school to participate, AiTLE will in its sole and absolute discretion disqualify your eligibility in this Project.
- Schools are obliged to participate random school site visits (during the application or after shortlisted) conducted by AiTLE and Lenovo with advanced notice.
- Additional Terms & Conditions, including program commitment, product liability and ownership, shall apply to the shortlisted schools.
- Information of the school and its related persons will be collected to enable the AiTLE & Lenovo the rights to administrate and use the information for the Project.
