Let’s join the “HKU x Google CS first” clubs today!
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is organizing the CS first clubs (https://www.cs-first.com/) in HKU campus.
Participants will learn basic Scratch programming using materials designed by Google and HKU.
Each school can nominate 2-5 students of age 9 or above who are interested in learning programming but with zero or minimal experience in Scratch programming to participate in the clubs.
Selected students will attend a series of 8 workshops (90 minutes each) on Saturdays from Feb 20 – Apr 16, 2016. A Certificate of Completion issued and HKU will be presented to participants who have attended 7 or more workshops and accomplished the required tasks.

- Venue: Room 110, Knowles Building, HKU
- Date: Feb 20, 27; March 5, 12, 19; April 2, 9, 16 (Sat)
- Time slot options: 9:30am – 11:00am, 11:00am – 12:30pm, 1:30pm-3:00pm
- Quota: 15 students in each time slot.
- Eligibility: Age 9 – 14, with zero to minimal experience in Scratch programming
- Teachers: HKU undergraduate students supervised by Dr. C.K. Chui form the Department of Computer Science
