STEM is not merely a combination of the learning of the subject content of 4 (or even some more) related subjects. In AiTLE InnoSTEMer’s point of view, STEM is a great means to enhance different soft skills of our students. One of the soft skills that should and can learn through STEM activities is Collaboration. However, designing STEM activities with Collaboration elements is much more difficult than design that for some other soft skills. Also common platforms that now we are using for STEM are lack of support in Learning and Teaching on Collaboration.
Therefore, AiTLE is in co-operation with MagiCube, launching an workshop called “Workshop on Designing a STEM (@ BBC micro:bit) Collaboration Activity“. Detail of the workshop as below :

- The Una Platform is developed by MagiCube Limited, an incubatee company of HKSTP.
- The platform won Gold in the “HK ICT Award – ICT Startup Award – Social Impact” category.
- Una (“together” in Latin) Platform, is design for primary and secondary school students, this online platform promotes collaborative learning for teachers and students with features such as co-coding and a virtual classroom to provide a fresh approach in digital teaching that inspires co-creation among peers.
- The platform offers inventive classroom management functions to alleviate teachers’ in-class stress, at the same time, it facilitates collaborative learning and mutual growth among students, resulting in a win-win scenario between students and teachers.
