AiTLE is partnering with ISTE (the International Society for Technology in Education) to offer 50 scholarships for their Online Teaching Academy, a fully virtual, self-paced professional development course that helps K-12 educators learn foundational principles for teaching online.
Thanks to funding from Zoom Cares, successful applicants have the opportunity to access this 15-hour program at no cost (normally USD $129)!
The Online Teaching Academy provides guidance on critical topics such as ensuring equity and inclusion, creating community, designing online instruction, and providing feedback and assessments in online learning environments. You can review the complete syllabus here for more information.
Success applicants can register for the Academy (the ISTE Online Teaching Academy) starting on Feb 1, 2021 and is available for rolling registration through March 19, 2021. Will have 6 months from the registration date to complete the course and earn certificate of completion, followed by another 6 months of view-only access to the content.
AiTLE will do selection on this scholarships based on the following criteria :
- Applicant’s contributions to AiTLE activities (like as speakers), and/or
- Applicant’s attendance record to AiTLE activities, and/or
- Applicant’s involvement in AiTLE WhatsApp groups (qu posting, replying posts, sharing in groups), and/or
- Applicant’s joining and viewing record of ISTE20 before, and/or
- some other considerable information
